Sound good Dave i would be up for lunch in Mattach. How many km is it to get there? As for the cochrane run how does June the 11 sound?? We are 3 bike's on my end that want to do the ride. 2 Polaris 850 and one brother inlaw has not decided what bike hes getting yet.. he sold his Grizzly 700 because he could not kept up with the polaris. So i see a Polaris in his future lol
Fortheluvofmud (Jaques) its about 110kms of easy gravel road. You probably have to carry abit of fuel. It can be a nice easy ride and lots of stops in between. And Kyle i'll make a plan also with you when we can all do this.
Have been off the site here for quite a while (won't try and make up excuses why... I just have! LOL). Anyways, I won't be tagging along for this one as the 25-26 is gonna be my first work-wedding-homeproject- FREE weekend in quite some time!
If you leave from Ice Chest Lake area (Connaught), the ride takes anywhere from 1 1/2 - 2 hours (one way), depending on how many stops you make. If you want to make the ride longer and more challenging (muddy), try your luck taking the OFSC trail from Porcupine to Frederick House Lake Road and then continuing north from there via Ice Chest Lake Road (bring gas).
BTW, Cochrane is also bike friendly and legal. Check my ride report for more info and PM me if you want suggestions on route, where to go for lunch, and so on.
Have a blast!
